All THREE Dalton Middle football teams are hosting playoff games this Saturday at Dalton Stadium, and we're making a day of it!

We're inviting our students, families, staff, and the entire Dalton community to come out for a full afternoon of football, food, and fun at the BIG RED TAILGATE!

The Lions Club will be visiting our school to provide free vision screenings for all 8th-grade students.

Consent forms will be sent home with students on Tuesday, November 3. If you would like your student to participate, please return the form on Wednesday, November 4.

Recently in Georgia Studies, students built Wattle and Daub shelters using only the resources provided to simulate the Mississippians building shelters with limited resources. They competed with a time constraint. There was one "elite" member while the rest were "commoners" the same as Mississippian society. They all had to work together in order to be successful!

Cross Country State Championship Canceled

Unfortunately, due to the impending weather associated with Hurricane Isaias, Saturday's Peach State Middle School Cross Country Championship has been canceled and will not be rescheduled.

This also means our Dalton Middle cross country season has officially come to an end.

While we're disappointed our runners won't have the opportunity to compete at state, we couldn't be prouder of the season they've had! Both our boys' and girls' teams brought home region championships, and our athletes have given us plenty to celebrate this fall!

Congratulations to all of our runners and coaches on a great season! Thank you for all the hard work, dedication, and miles you've put in.
