Dalton, GA – Dalton Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Veronica Sandoval as the district’s new Technology Security Specialist. With over two decades of experience in technical support, data systems, and administrative operations, Sandoval brings a proven track record of excellence in IT and a strong commitment to service.
Sandoval has served Dalton Public Schools since 2022 as an IT Support Technician, where she provided first- and second-level technical support to students and staff across multiple school locations. Her responsibilities included troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing helpdesk operations, configuring new devices, and assisting with Active Directory administration. Her hands-on knowledge and responsiveness have significantly enhanced user satisfaction throughout the district.
Prior to her IT support role, Sandoval served as the Data Clerk and Registrar at Morris Innovative High School, where she maintained accurate student records and supported state and federal reporting processes. Her work was known for its precision, reliability, and attention to detail.
Sandoval holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Computer Networking and Service Technology from Dalton State College. She is bilingual in English and Spanish, a skill that enhances communication and outreach with the Dalton community.

In her new role as Technology Security Specialist, Sandoval will be responsible for safeguarding district information systems, monitoring potential threats, and helping implement cybersecurity best practices across all schools.
