In 1886 a group of city leaders in Dalton, Georgia, were faced with a choice: Stick to the status quo, or dare to believe in the possibility for something new.
They chose to take the different path, create a separate school district and ultimately Dalton Public Schools was born. From 1886 until now, Dalton Public Schools proudly offers a unique educational experience for every student, with more opportunities inside and outside the classroom that challenge and inspire each student to succeed in college, career, and life.
