Dear Dalton High School Students and Families,
We want to share an important update regarding student parking. At this time, all student parking spaces have been assigned, and unfortunately, we are unable to issue additional permits. If a student has not already secured a parking permit, it is unlikely that one will become available this school year.
To accommodate as many students as possible, we have reallocated several staff and visitor parking spaces to increase student parking availability. Despite these efforts, demand continues to exceed capacity. We do maintain a waitlist, and spaces are reassigned only if they become available due to student withdrawals or revoked privileges. While students may add their names to the waitlist, we want to be transparent that openings will be extremely limited.
We understand that this may be frustrating and create challenges for families whose students rely on driving to school. Please know that we are actively working on long-term solutions to improve student parking for the 2025-2026 school year and beyond.
