🔎🦴 Young Paleontologists at Work! 🦴🔎

Some scientists in Mrs. Kitchen's class took a closer look at the past as they examined different types of fossils and specimens! With careful observations, lots of curiosity, and plenty of questions, our Panthers studied the evidence up close and thought about what it can teach us about living things from long ago.

There’s nothing quite like getting an up-close look to turn learning into discovery! ❤️🐾

🧩 Hands-On Math Fun at City Park! 📊

Our brilliant Panthers have been hard at work bringing geometry and data to life! 🎨✨ Students used colorful pattern blocks to construct unique pictures and designs—from flowers and space ships to fun animal figures 🌸🚀🐰.

After building their creations, they put on their mathematician hats to tally, categorize, and graph the different shapes they used! 🖍️📐

We love seeing our students explore hands-on problem-solving, build critical thinking skills, and show that learning math can be an absolute blast! 🧠💥

When one of our students is recognized as a PAWSitive Panther, they receive something extra special—a token for our book vending machine!

That token means they get to choose a brand-new book of their very own to take home and KEEP.

That’s where our community comes in! Donations to Books on the Block: The 405 Book Project help us purchase the books that keep our vending machine stocked and ready to celebrate our Panthers.

🐾 $5, $10, $20—it all adds up to more books in the hands of City Park kids!

Can’t donate right now? Sharing this post helps, too!

Help us keep the 405 stocked with stories and our PAWSitive Panthers reading!

Learning math is hands-on and so much fun! Today, students in Mrs. Maulding's class used colorful counting blocks to construct their very own "neighborhoods." Each building was designed to represent numbers in different, creative ways while practicing foundational math concepts.

Learning Volume Through Play!

Mathematicians in Mr. Allre'ds class put their math skills—and their creativity—to work by creating their own games about volume! Then came the best part: getting to play the games their classmates designed!

Students practiced important volume concepts while problem-solving, collaborating, and learning from one another. When students become the game designers AND the players, learning takes on a whole new dimension!
